Tarasy ryzowe Banue Batad / Rice terraces Banue Batad

Drogi na Filipinach sa tragiczne i wystepuja z rzadka - glownie szutrowe, a odcinki betonowe sluza do suszenia ryzu (patrz zdjecie) no i my rowniez dotarlysmy do tzw osmego cudu swiata tarasow ryzowych, ktore maja ponad 2000 lat.
Widzalysmy jeszcze 37metrowy wodospad do ktorego lokalesi chodza poplywac w lecie.

Roads in Philippines are horrible and appears sometimes - mainly off road and the few which are cemented are used for drying rice (look at picture), and finally we got to the place which is called as 8th wonder of the world - rice terraces which are 2000 years old.
In the morning after 10km drive which took us one hour... we got to the saddle in the middle of fog and rain - but the world belongs to brave people so we did not give up (except Monia who had nap in the bus).
Together with our local tour guide, who was catching chickens on the way - we reach the village and had walk in the middle of rice terraces and the sun came finally:)
It was awesome, amazing and wonderful and non of us thought that walking in the middle of rice terraces could be so nice. We are also not surprised that UNESCO wants to protect this place .... on the other hand we are not planning to stay there forever:)) We saw also 37 m high waterfall in which locals swim during summer time - we did not took advantage of that as we were wet after rain.
At the evening we took private transport again to Sagada, and again 80km took us more than 3 hours. On top of that the weather became really ugly - extremely foggy and we did not know how the driver saw the road, having in mind that it was in the mountains... if we had found a dead body on the road if would be a real horror:))
but Sagada welcomed us with sky full of stars.
